I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years' experience working with adults and adolescents (aged 16 and above). I hold a Senior Psychologist role in the NHS alongside my private work, which helps me to stay at the forefront of clinical practice. My depth of experience means that I am able to practice in a flexible way that works for you in order to help you reach your goals, and I offer a free telephone consultation in the first instance to start this process.
I use a range of therapies, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), to work with people who are struggling with psychological difficulties - from severe and complex mental health problems, to those who simply want to understand themselves better. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a central component of successful therapy, which is why I provide a warm, supportive, non-judgemental space to help you feel at ease. We will work together to identify your hopes and come to a shared understanding of your difficulties, in order to enable and support change.
I aim to help people improve their psychological wellbeing, reduce distress, and to make meaningful changes in their lives. I offer both short and longer term psychological therapy and can help with a wide range of difficulties including, but not limited to:
- Anxiety (panic disorder, phobias, generalised anxiety disorder and worry, obsessive compulsive disorder, and health anxiety)
- Low mood and depression
- Work or exam related stress
- Sleep problems
- Low self-esteem
- Trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Relationship issues
- Feeling 'stuck' in life, lacking purpose, or finding it difficult to adjust to major life changes
I provide an integrated approach to therapy as I believe that no one model of therapy can fit everyone all of the time. The main approach I use is cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), however, I also utilise ideas from third wave approaches including mindfulness and acceptance and commitment therapy. I work closely with people to identify unhelpful patterns that might be contributing to their difficulties, and strategies to cope with them.
Alongside my private practice I currently work in the NHS as a senior psychologist in an Early Intervention in Psychosis Service, offering individual and family therapy. I also supervise other therapists in order to help them develop their practice. Prior to this, I was based in a secondary care community mental health team working with adults with a wide range of psychological difficulties including psychosis and personality disorder.

Appointments & Fees
Finding the right therapist for you might seem like a daunting task, which is why I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation to discuss your situation and your hopes for treatment, so you can decide if you would like to make an assessment appointment.
If you decide to start therapy we would agree on a therapy plan, including your goals, the number of sessions, and the responsibilities we have towards each other. Sessions last for 50 minutes, usually weekly.
Initial 15 minute phone call - free
Psychological assessments and therapy sessions (50 minutes) - £95
My fees reflect the fact that I have attained extensive training to doctorate level. I am therefore able to utilise a number of skills and techniques outside the remit of a standard counsellor. I hold the protected title of Clinical Psychologist and am governed by the HCPC, the only legally-recognised body for counselling and psychotherapy. I hold a Chartered status with the British Psychological Society, reflecting the highest standard of psychological knowledge and expertise.
I am registered with several insurance companies including Aviva and AXA PPP Healthcare. If you would like to use your insurance policy to pay for sessions then please speak to me about this.
I am based at The Eaves Guildford practice:
